Not a very good bus photo, but I included it due to the chance and unusual presence of a SELNEC parcels van. Manchester Corporation had established a large parcels delivery service which worked from a yard adjacent to the Hyde Road bus garage. On the formation of SELNEC this service was inherited and, not surprisingly, renamed SELNEC parcels. It continued for a little while after this shot, which is taken looking up Greenbridge Lane toward Chew Valley Road. The bus is 5282, returning to Manchester on the same day as the shots shown in the Manchester to Greenfield collection.
