Former Manchester PD2 3715 heads through the centre of Greenfield village. To the left is Butterworth's garage, at the time still selling petrol at roadside pumps in the traditional way, although I believe even then the main use for the pumps was to fill up the lorries of the haulage fleet, which is still based there. It is a long-established operation and even has a picture of a charabanc on display in the office. The shop, which sold bicycles and spares, only closed in recent years.
